Other companies charge per tape, with only up to two hours per tape.  I do not charge extra for going over two hours per tape.  If you recall, you could set the tape to record on different quality settings, with the lowest quality setting allowing up to six hours of video to be recorded.  If your parents were thrifty like mine, they went with the six hour setting, which resulted in lower quality video, but more of it!

I am happy to explain the process, and how it all works.  Some of you may not have a way to know what is on your tapes, as they may have been mislabeled, or recorded over by the ER series finale (Thanks, Dad.)  I have a TV/VCR Combo I can rent out so you can go through your tapes to see which ones are worth converting.  It is a 9 inch screen, so it's small and easy to transport.  Check pricing for more info.

As it relates to your privacy, I only watch the bare minimum amount of tape needed to get the conversion process started.  I rewind the tape to the beginning, hit record on my equipment, and then hit play on the tape, and let it roll.  It converts in real time, so six hours of footage will take six hours to convert to digital, plus additional time to render the file.  So for a tape with six hours of footage, I can realistically only convert two a day.  Please contact me to get started.  This is a great way to surprise your family with those embarrassing recitals, cheer leading competitions, sport bloopers, etc, all captured on tape many years ago.
